This month, we continue learning all about the things that make each of us so special. Our students have been learning about our Amazing Bodies and discovering all the ways they move and grow. Children are engaging in hands-on activities that help them understand how their bodies work and build strength.
We are learning about the importance of movement and how exercise keeps our bodies strong and healthy. Through playful experiences such as dancing, outdoor play, yoga, and obstacle courses, children are beginning to understand that staying active helps their bodies stay in motion and feel their best!
We are also learning about healthy foods that fuel our bodies and give us the energy we need to grow. Children identify various fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains, and talking about how these foods help us grow. These early lessons help create a strong foundation for lifelong healthy habits.
We are also focusing on self-care and learning how to take care of ourselves independently. Children are learning how routines such as handwashing, brushing teeth, resting when our bodies need a break, and recognizing how we feel, affect our health. These skills help children build independence and confidence while understanding that caring for our bodies is an important part of staying healthy.
