FSCJ Downtown Campus

We Make Learning Fun
We are proud of our third generational continuum; a 50+ year, Jacksonville, Florida based, family-owned corporation devoted to premium service in the development of the “TOTAL CHILD.” Our convenient locations offer wholesome environments which provide continuous learning opportunities for our multi-sensory developmental approach to early childhood education.

Welcome to the FSCJ Downtown Campus

Located in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville, Chappell Downtown is located on the sprawling FSCJ Downtown campus. We’re next to the student center and administrative buildings and many students of the Early Education programs use our campus to observe and intern. Our parents are very involved in the school activities and participate heavily in our parent/grandparent events – a lot of them also volunteer significantly with their children’s classes.

About Our Campus

Shirley Williams
Shirley WilliamsDirector, Chappell FSCJ Downtown Campus
“I joined Chappell in 1998 as a teacher at the Deerwood campus. Over the years, I worked with all ages and because I love to cook, I also began cooking for the children. I got my Director credential in 2015, after transferring to Chappell Downtown. I believe the secret to a great child care program is to treat everyone as family. The children, their parents and the staff are all loved equally. Children thrive in an environment where they feel nourished, respected and important.
